BUDA
As one of the Austin metro area’s fastest growing suburbs, Buda has become popular with commuters who appreciate its proximity to IH-35. Located in Hays County and just 13 miles southwest of downtown Austin, Buda offers residents an affordable cost of living in a convenient location. Continued efforts to revitalize Main Street are resulting in more businesses and attractions for an increasing number of residents and visitors. Originally founded as a depot stop along the International-Great Northern Railroad, Buda has grown to include large swaths of commercial development along the IH-35 corridor. This development has increased the city’s sales tax revenue and is known for including a Cabela’s sporting goods store. With the attractive location along the major route into Austin and the beautiful banks of Onion Creek flowing just north of Main Street, Buda continues to be a great place for people to live.
Residents of Buda feed into the Hays Consolidated ISD. You may find more information on the school district here.
